OUR LEGACY
The original United Soccer League (now ASL) captures the Independent League Federation Championship at Jordan High School in Long Beach, CA.
1986 THE FOUNDATION
Founded as the United Soccer League by Francisco Maldonado and his brothers in the gritty heart of 1980s Los Angeles County, our front office was built by players, for players.
In August of 1988, that foundation was cemented. In a brutal, late-night final under the lights of Jordan High School, the squad captured the Independent League Federation Championship. Securing a 7-6 penalty shootout victory, the team earned headlines in La Opinión. That championship DNA became our standard. We didn't just host games; we built an institution.
2026 THE EVOLUTION
Four decades later, the game has changed, but the standard remains. Rebranded as All Star Soccer League (ASL), we have evolved from our Paramount and Long Beach roots to become the premier adult soccer ecosystem in the Inland Empire, and Orange County.
THE ASL MISSION
"To provide an uncompromising, professional-tier soccer experience for the everyday player. No park league chaos. Pure prestige, strict enforcement, and elite competition."
